ASTON: The long anticipated fight between Delaware County rivals Danny “Two Gunz” Mullarkey and Radnor police officer Jamie Campbell is finally about to unfold.

Postponed twice - the first time because of injuries to the undercard, the second time due to the second biggest snow blizzard in Pennsylvania history - this rematch will be well worth the wait.

Campbell won their 2006 bout by unanimous decision, but many in the crowd that night disagreed and let the judges know their displeasure as did Campbell’s opponent.

Mullarkey, who claims he was the better boxer that night, will get his chance to prove it on Friday, February 19, 2009 (7 p.m.) when he climbs into the ring as the Main Event to take on Campbell in a scheduled six-round match to be held at the Tri State Sports Complex, located at 63 Concord Road in Aston, PA (610-494-3600 extension 11 – www.tristatesports.com, www.boxrec.com).

Tickets are $35 general admission and $100 for ringside/premium seats and can be purchased at Tri State Sports in advance and at the door. Tickets can be ordered over the phone at Tri State and can be purchased from the boxers.

Mullarkey has accumulated a 5-2-1 record as a pro, Jamie Campbell is 2-1. Both have been fought on cards at the Spectrum – both have solid pedigrees as boxers.

Mullarkey was 29-1 as an amateur and was a member of several U.S. Boxing teams that competed around the world.

Mullarkey has served as a sparing partner for many world class boxers at the famed Upper Darby Boxing Club and his passion for the sport is limitless.

Campbell came through the Tough Man circuit where he finished his career undefeated.

Campbell made his pro debut in 2006 on the when he took on Dave Brunelli on the undercard of the Bernard Hopkins-Antonio Tarver fight in Atlantic City.

• This great night of boxing offers an outstanding undercard featuring two of Delaware County’s best in Glen Turner (9-4, cruiserweight) and Dan Grafton (1-0, light heavyweight). Turner will face Johnathan Felton (6-19), Grafton’s opponent is to be determined.

• Also on the card is one of the top female fighters in the country in Melissa Hernandez (11-1-2) from the Bronx. Hernandez will face veteran boxer Lykeisha Williams (9-15-3) of Philadelphia.

• Multiple title belt holder Brian Cohen – his titles include the WBC America’s Continental Championship and Universal Boxing Counsel Title - is scheduled to box a three-round exhibition against and opponent to be announced.

• Several more bouts are expected to be added shortly.

All bouts are subject to approval by the PA Boxing Commissioner Greg Sirb.
